Executive Coaching
Coaching a leader into a much larger span of control
Senior government executive
The challenge
A newly promoted executive was responsible for a far larger organization and found the behaviors that earned the promotion no longer scaled.
Feedback from peers suggested strong delivery but limited delegation and inconsistent executive presence.
The solution
MTI began with a chemistry call and confidentiality agreement, then gathered 360 stakeholder input and debriefed a validated assessment.
Two development goals were contracted with the leader and their sponsor, worked over bi-weekly sessions with practice and reflection between them.
Results
- A clear delegation model that freed executive calendar time
- Stronger presence in senior forums, confirmed by stakeholders
- Better relationships with peers across the organization
- A sustainment plan carried forward after the engagement closed
